SEAC SUB X-LED - Dive torch
The Seac Sub X-LED is a very well designed dive torch featuring three 3W-LEDs. It has enough output to be useful on a daylight dive in order to bring out some colours, although not over any real distance. For night dives, the light is sufficient for signaling over "normal" buddy distances, with a nice focus, good spill-light and very even beamshot.
It is powered by eight AA-batteries (Mignon cells), readily available anywhere in the world. This allows you to travel with a relatively lightweight light and stock up on batteries when you arrive at your destination.
Energy consumption is very good, if it wasn't for traveling, we'd probably still run the same set of batteries. The pictures are of a two year old dive-lamp that's been around the world, obviously some scratches make it into even anodized aluminum at some point. The blue finishing looks great in general.
